Our Beginnings

Life Saving Instruction was developed in 2008 to provide the Baltimore Metro area with the high quality certification courses it desperately needed. Robert Buhner, President and Founder of Life Saving Instruction, began his life saving career as an Aquatics Professional which later led him to becoming an EMT. This first-hand experience is what inspired Robert to provide an abundance of life saving courses in our area.

Our Mission

Life Saving Instruction aims to not only educate but inspire our students to become the life saving professionals they strive to be. By developing and challenging our students critical thinking skills, we believe they will be better able to meet our 3 P's: Professional, Prepared, and Preserve, which are key in becoming a professional rescuer.

Our Instructors

Each of our instructors have years of experience not only teaching professional rescuer skills but perform them on a regular basis. All instructors are certified through the American Red Cross and the National Swimming Pool Foundation.
